Facial Rejuvenation through Endoscopic Browlift ( Forehead Lift) Surgery, Contour Lift, and More
Performed under the care and expertise of plastic surgeon Dr. Nathan Mayl, forehead lift ( browlift surgery) raises the upper portion of the face, giving eyebrows a more alert appearance and eliminating furrowed skin on the forehead. These procedures minimize the appearance of forehead lines and eliminate the appearance of drooping skin. A forehead lift can also smooth out smile lines for a refreshed look. Surgical Browlift Procedures
Dr. Mayl is experienced in the most advanced browlift surgery techniques to help patients achieve a smooth, younger-looking forehead appearance. He is classically trained with a modern approach and each of his browlift procedures are performed with finesse maneuvers of muscle modification.
Coronal Forehead Lift
For patients who wish to have total forehead and eyebrow elevation, Dr. Mayl recommends the coronal forehead lift technique. This classical technique involves creating an incision across the forehead from ear to ear following the hairline. Next, excess skin and muscle tissue is removed from the forehead and the underlying muscles are tightened. Then, the overlying skin is pulled up taut into a more youthful position, effectively smoothing out horizontal lines and creases on the forehead. Finally, the incisions are closed with sutures.
Endoscopic Browlift
Endoscopic browlift surgery is a procedure that aims to raise the brow line and smooth out the skin on the forehead using a technique that promotes minimal visible scarring and a quicker recovery time, unlike the traditional coronal forehead lift procedure. The endoscopic procedure involves making several tiny incisions along the hair line that a thin tube with a camera called an endoscope and several other surgical tools can be inserted through. The endoscope allows Dr. Mayl to access the muscle tissues using a monitor. He then removes excess tissue in the eyebrow and forehead area and repositions the skin. The incisions are then closed with tiny sutures. Patients experience a younger, more rejuvenated facial appearance after recovering from endoscopic browlift surgery.
Biplanar Endoscopic Browlift
The biplanar endoscopic browlift is a procedure that restores youthfulness to the forehead by decreasing the height of the forehead. This endoscopic technique combines the benefits of a traditional coronal lift with those of the hairline lift. The biplanar endoscopic browlift is most suited for individuals with high foreheads, severe forehead wrinkles, and sagging eyebrows. Temporal Forehead Lift
Performed in much the same way as an endoscopic browlift, the temporal forehead lift aims to elevate only the outer portion of the forehead and eyebrows to rejuvenate the eyes and the overall appearance of the face. This technique involves making small incisions in the temple region of the forehead and scalp where an endoscope and other surgical instruments can be used to eliminate excess muscle tissue. The skin is then pulled up and secured into a more youthful position.
Minimally Invasive Browlift Procedures
Dr. Mayl also offers minimally invasive browlift procedures for natural-looking, dramatic results with less downtime than with traditional surgery.
Subcision Browlift
As a minimally invasive alternative to traditional forehead lift surgery, we offer subcision browlift treatment to eliminate the appearance of folds and wrinkles on the forehead. Dr. Mayl will use a specialized tool to separate tissue beneath the skin and reduce wrinkles without the need for creating large incisions as in a traditional forehead lift. The result is silky-smooth, natural-looking skin. Treatment is usually combined with cosmetic injectable treatments and can also be used during face lift surgery for complete facial rejuvenation.
Contour Lift with APTOS® String

Endotine™ Forehead
Our practice is proud to feature the Endotine™ Forehead, an innovative solution that effectively elevates the brow area for a refreshed, youthful appearance. The Endotine™ Forehead is a bioabsorbable device with a unique multipoint structure that fixes to and strengthens suspended tissue during an endoscopic browlift or coronal forehead lift. The device provides long-lasting results that can be readjusted if necessary, giving the patient greater aesthetic control over their overall facial appearance. During the Endotine™ forehead lift procedure, Dr. Mayl raises the eyebrows to the desired height. He then inserts the Endotine™ Forehead under the scalp tissue, where it holds the tissue securely in place. The incision is then closed, and the Endotine™ Forehead is left in place where it is absorbed over time.
Non-invasive Browlift Procedures
For patients who wish to achieve a more youthful brow appearance without surgery, Dr. Mayl offers a variety of non-surgical treatments. These methods offer temporary results with minimal recovery time.
BOTOX® Cosmetic
Some individuals are able to achieve a smooth, youthful forehead and brow appearance by relaxing the underlying muscles with BOTOX® injections instead of undergoing an invasive surgical browlift procedure. BOTOX® Cosmetic paralyzes the muscles, which temporarily and effectively smoothes out the overlying skin. During treatment, Dr. Mayl administers BOTOX® injections in the muscles that are depressing the brows. This allows the eyebrows to lift a few millimeters for approximately four months.
Combination Browlift with Cosmetic Injectables
Another non-surgical alternative for patients seeking a younger-looking forehead appearance is temporary eyebrow lift treatment using cosmetic injectables such as Perlane® and Restylane®. Dermal fillers are a popular treatment for lines, wrinkles, and facial folds.
